Yenepoya Dental College was established in 1992 and is a part of the Islamic Academy of Education. The college was recognised by the Dental Council of India and affiliated with Yenepoya University (deemed to be a university under section 3(A) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956) in 2009 by the government of Karnataka. The Yenepoya University is the first private university in the district of Dakshina Kannada (South Canara); the country rank of this university is 287. This College is spread over an area of 31.24 acres of sprawling lush green campus.
