Sridevi School of Nursing, Tumkur was established in 2003 and is managed by the Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust. The institute is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and recognised by Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and the university has a campus that spreads over 30 acres of land.

The Sri Sridevi Charitable Trust founded the Sridevi School of Nursing in 1992, with the mission of meeting the health needs of individuals, families, and communities. Today, the institute is focused on delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and integrated medical education with a focus on modern technology and research. The college provides its students with excellent infrastructure and facilities for learning and research, along with experienced and dedicated faculty, exceptional clinical facilities, and a world-class learning environment. Shri Devi College of Nursing is part of the parent hospital, Shridevi Hospital, which has 200 beds and is internationally certified. Scholarships are subjected to central/state government rules. Scholarships are provided to students by the management, the Backward Community and Minorities, the Social Welfare Office of Karnataka, the Kerala State Kissan Trade Union, and the Tailor Welfare Association of Kerala.
