Learn by Doing and Doing by Learning: Industrial Practice 1, a credited course of 8 weeks during the summer term of the second year in which students work in an industry under the supervision of faculty members, is highly supported by the engineering programme. Similarly, Industrial Practice 2 is a five-and-a-half-month credited course provided during the fourth year. Students can alternatively substitute thesis or electives and projects for Industrial Practice 2. Students do better in Industrial Practice 2 when their electives are carefully chosen in the third year. Electives are divided into many groups.
