RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT), Bangalore was established in the year 2001. It is the brain-child of the Group Chairman, Dr. R. N. Shetty. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is spread over a humongous 170 acres of land.

RNS Institute of Technology, sometimes known as RNSIT, was founded in 2001. It is the creation of Dr. R. N. Shetty, a well-known industrialist and philanthropist. The university was founded with the express intention of providing high-quality education in Engineering, Technology, and Management.
