Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College is one of the oldest and most reputed ayurvedic institutions of Karnataka. The institute is permitted with an annual intake of 60 students for its undergraduate BAMS programme and 25 students among its different MD/MS courses. The college has a full-fledged teaching faculty of experienced and dedicated post graduate doctors with high level of motivation,supported by an efficient administrative staff. Regular Yoga classes are conducted as part of curriculum. Additional speaking English classes are arranged for the students to improve their communication skills and fluency in English.

The campus has well stocked library,reading room & an indoor auditorium. A herbal garden with more than 250 medicinal plant is there for demonstration. The college has a collection of over 200 wet specimens of rare plants in the pharmacology museum.Departments are spacious &classrooms are equipped with state of art modern teaching aids as well as equipped laboratoriesand practical halls.

The college Library has over 10,000books on Ayurveda and modern health sciences and a Digital Library with educational with CD/DVD broadband internet facility and audio &visual aids are there. The campus also has hostel facility for both male and female students with all the necessary facilities. The college has very strict anti-ragging policies.
