Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), Bengaluru was established in the year 1962 and is managed by the Gokula Education Foundation. The institute is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka. It has received NAAC accreditation ‘A+’ grade and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is sprawled over an enormous area of 86 acres of land.

About RIT

Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), formerly known as MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) was founded in 1962 by Late Dr. M S Ramaiah, a famous visionary, philanthropist, and pioneer in the development of various major infrastructure projects in India. Dr. M S Ramaiah envisioned RIT as an institute of excellence providing excellent and inexpensive education in response to the scarcity of bright engineering professionals essential to construct a modern India. RIT has expanded throughout the years with major contributions from numerous experts in various positions, skillfully headed by Dr. M S Ramaiah himself, whose personal devotion has guided the institution through its formative years as part of Gokula Education Foundation. RIT participated in and successfully completed Phase I of TEQIP, Technical Education Quality Improvement program, an initiative of the Government of India with funding from World Bank.
