PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the oldest and most reputed medical institutions of Kerala. The institute is permitted with an annual intake of 150 students for its under graduate MBBS and 6 students for its post graduate MD/MS and super speciality programmes combined under the teaching and assistance of750 competitive and experienced faculty members as well as over 200 staff members.

The college offers a state of the art infrastructure. There are 3 Lecture Theatres of 180 capacity. The central Library has 5000 books in all branches of medical and allied subject and a good collection of disks for visual learning. The college also has subscription to about 46 national and international medical journals and leading national magazines for the access of the students. The college also has a skill lab, computer lab and an auditorium and the college offers hostel facility for both male and female students. The institution has very anti strict anti-ragging policies.

The ratings, reviews and the placements of the college have been consistently excellent throughout. The college has been ranked 19th on Open Management Rankings and Kerala State Rankings both. The fee structure is economical as compared to other private colleges in the state.
