The institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (RGUHS) and its campus is built over 6.1 acres of land.

Maratha Mandal Dental College is one of the oldest dental colleges in Karnataka. Located in the vicinity of Belgaum, the college offers top quality undergraduate BDS courses and 10 MDS postgraduate programmes as a part of a strong curriculum under the supervision of a highly qualified faculty and has a well-built infrastructure. Their vision is to create a strong education base in the neglected areas of North Karnataka.

The college takes a unique approach to imparting knowledge, assisting students in becoming professionally capable and skilled. The institute has a mandatory 1 year internship for final year BDS students. Placements are not offered through college.
