Scholarships are subjected to central/state government rules. MIT Pune offers merit scholarships to deserving and accomplished students, based on their academic performance and their results in National level/State Level entrance exams, including MIT-WPU internal tests (UGPET & PGPET). These scholarships cover a wide range of categories and are designed to recognize and support students in various fields.
The Dz Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship provides a 100% waiver on tuition fees for all years to the top 5% of students in a given program, subject to specific conditions. Meanwhile, the MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship is based on merit and applicable only in the first year of the program, with five categories offering fee waivers ranging from 10% to 100%.
Other scholarship categories include awards for rank holders, elite sports persons, wards of MIT-WPU/MAEER’s staff members, and students with high potential in entrepreneurship, innovation, sports, arts, culture, design, media, and social activities. Additional scholarships are also available for defense personnel, physically disabled students, J&K migrants, and alumni.
