The institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India. The college is affiliated to KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) and its campus is a part of a massive 113 acres campus of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College.

KLE Vishwanath Katti Institute of Dental Sciences is one of the best dental colleges in Karnataka.
