JSS Medical College was established in the year 1984-85 and is approved by National Medical Commission (NMC). It was earlier affiliated to- Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) but now is a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research JSSAHER (Formerly known as JSS University) and is NAAC A+ accredited. It has a total campus area of 43 acres.

JSS Medical College is located in Mysore Bangalore road, and is one of the top medical colleges in Karnataka. The college imparts excellent medical education to its students, aiming towards delivering of socially meaningful doctors with moral values in them.
