The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college has received approval from National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is a State University formed after a government act. Its campus is spread over 102 acres of land.

Scholarships

Scholarships subject to the central and state government as well as college rules. To attract students from diverse backgrounds, the institute offers a variety of funding opportunities, including the post-matric scholarship, the Hungaricum scholarship programme, and the Huawei Technologies award. The Huawei scholarship is available to academically outstanding students in their second, third, and fourth years of engineering college. Students who obtain this scholarship are awarded 50,000 INR each year. Scholarships are also offered for students from the SC/ST/OBC groups at the institute.

According to the college's 2020 placement brochure, 876 offers were given to UG and PG students who received campus placement with a median income of INR 4,50,000 LPA while the median salary for PG students was 5,10,000 LPA. The highest package offered was INR 33 LPA to a student from CSE Branch.
