Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and Research (IIAMR) was established in the year 1989. It is a primary venture of the Sri Krishnarajendra Trust (SKRCT). It is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and Ministry of Family Welfare. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). It is even recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AYUSH.  IIAMR is registered under the Indian Trust Act.
