Faculty of Dental Sciences FDS was established in the year 1991, and is a part of Ramaiah Institute of Applied Sciences, since then the Institution has grown leaps and bounds. 

The institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Government of India. The college is affiliated to M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS). The college has an annual intake of 60 seats for BDS admissions.

 About FDS

Faculty of Dental Sciences is one of the top dental colleges in Karnataka. The Faculty of Dental Sciences was formerly called the M.S. Ramaiah Dental College and Hospital and was incepted in 1991. The college offers a 3-year postgraduate program leading to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree as well as a 4-year undergraduate program culminating in a year-long internship leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree. The college also provides doctoral research programmes leading to Ph.D. degrees in the fields of aesthetic dentistry and oral implantology.

With the multifaceted approach to the education in the field of dentistry by the college, the college guarantees that in addition to knowledge, the students here will have the abilities needed to deal with the future's uncertainties. They are shaped into independent thinkers, committed students, and skilled healthcare providers who put the needs of their patients first. The faculty of the college are highly educated and skilled, catering top-class education to all students so that they can become excellent professionals with ethical values.
