BGS Institute of Technology, was established in the year 2005 and is managed by Shri Adichunchangiri Shikshana Trust. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college has its courses accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is spread over 21 acres of land.

BGS Institute of Technology (BGSIT), BG Nagar was founded in 2005. The campus, which spans 21 acres, is unique in character and set in a beautiful natural setting. It is 80 kilometres from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, and Tumkur and located on the Bengaluru-Hassan-Mangaluru National Highway (NH-75) Fresh, oxygen-rich air is a major draw. BGSIT has received approval from the Council for Technical Education in New Delhi, is associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi, and is recognised by the Government of Karnataka. It is unique in that it has learned faculty who teach in their respective areas. ·       The BGSIT Library & Information Center is a vital learning resource facility with an open access system that encourages users to freely search the stock area. The library is placed in a large building. The library now holds 41,839 volumes of books and periodicals/magazines. The library has a reference department, a periodical section, a stock area, and a digital library with internet access.

·       The College includes separate Boys and Girls Hostels. Housing is shared. There are rooms with minimal furniture such as a cot, a table, and a chair. The vegetarian meal at the hostel mess is provided by the hostel's boarders. Numerous sports and cultural activities are organised for the benefit of the borders, in addition to normal academic work.

·       The College has a Cafeteria on campus that serves both South Indian and North Indian meals at moderate prices. The canteen is open every working day. Several varieties of beverages are provided on different days depending on the season.
