The institute is approved by National Medical Council (NMC) and Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of India. The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences and it’s campus is built over 50 acres of land.

The institute is permitted with an annual intake of 100 students for it’s undergraduate MBBS and 15 students for it’s postgraduate MD/MS programmes.
