Amrutha Ayurvedic Medical College was established in the year 1996-97, and is being managed by Sri Devaraj Urs Vidhya Samsthe group, Chitradurga. The college is recognized by The Central Council of Indian Medicines and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

The college is located 2 Km. away from the K.S.R.T.C Bus stand and 3 Km. away from the Railway Station. It has very good infrastructure and is well equipped with 60 bedded hospitals which is training the students to become Safe Doctors in the near coming future.

Amrutha Ayurvedic Medical College is one of the top medical colleges in Karnataka. The college aims to provide complete instruction on all aspects of imparting best academic side of the courses. The Medical College Hospital was started in 1996-97. The institution never lagged in providing the minimum basic study facilities such as teaching staff, Hospital, lab, and Herbal Garden. The garden of the college has rich medicinal plants with the rarest herbs. Amrutha Ayurvedic Medical College pharmacy is well equipped with modern and sophisticated equipment. Many medicines are prepared daily.

The students of the college won several University level and State level competitions along with various medals. Along with all these facilities, the college management always intends to provide a good library facility for up-to-date knowledge of Indian Medicine. The Hospital is dedicated to develop a critical, self-reliant, and enquiring approach to Ayurvedic Medicine, flexible enough to prepare the student for the future ahead by giving better education, better living & better facilities at our institution.
