The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The university has received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation. The college comes under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed-to-be) University and its campus is spread over 25 acres of land.

The Amrita School of Engineering [ASE], Bangalore was founded in the year 2002 and it is one of the four schools of engineering under the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a private deemed to-be university. ASE has 25+ Centers of Excellence, 180+ Research Collaborations along with 12000 Publications.

The Amrita School of Engineering in Bengaluru provides B. Tech. degrees in five disciplines and M. Tech. programmes in six. It also boasts a cutting-edge gymnasium with treadmills and a yoga and meditation centre for students to help students be mentally well. There are also indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The campus has six hostels, two for females and four for guys. The college also provides banking and ATM services, a general store, a canteen, and reprographic services.
