Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is a premier medical institution in Kerala. Amrita Institute of Medical Sciencesis one of the best medical institutions of India. The institute is permitted with an annual intake of 150 students for it’s undergraduate MBBS,82students for its postgraduate MD/MS and 44 students for its super speciality M.ch, DM and Diploma programmes. Here, the students benefit from the expertise and experiences of eminent academicians and highly skilled faculty members as they apply their theoretical understanding to practical tasks. The institute has a separate research and development wing with over 2500+ publications which is conductingresearch in cancer nanotechnology for the purposes of early detection and therapy of cancer among others.

The college has a state-of-the-art infrastructure which includes a central library having over 13000 books and subscription to more than 4900 journals. Lecture Theatres are fully computerized and well equipped with audio-visual aids like microphone, LCD projector, and overhead projector.Examination Hall is available with air conditioning and CCTV and mobile jammers capable of seating up to 250 students. The campus has hostel facility within it’s perimeter for both male and female students. It has 3 acres of land for sports facilities and indoor games facility as well.

The ratings, reviews and the placements of the college have been consistently excellent throughout. It is one of the highest ranked colleges in India and Kerala. Amrita School of Medicine was ranked the eighth best medical college in India by the MHRD in their annual NIRF rankings and 12thon All India Management Rankings.
