The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is spread over 11 acres of land.

The GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women is located in Mysore, a city known for its palaces and as a centre of learning. Placements - The institution maintains a full-fledged Placement Department to ensure that placement and recruitment activities run smoothly. The college Placement Department is not only in charge of completing student placements, but also of pre-placement training, Industry-Institute alliances, and MoUs with corporates. The pre-placement talk hall, written test hall, group discussion rooms, online test labs, and interview panels are all well-equipped to ensure the smooth and seamless operation of university recruitment operations.

In 2022, a total of 733 placement offers were made to students. 155 students got a CTC over INR 7 LPA and 18 students got a CTC over INR 15 LPA. The average package offered to the students was INR 4.5 LPA.

Infrastructural Highlights –

·   College Computer Centre is equipped with LAN and enjoys wireless facilities with recent configuration of IBM servers and protected using Firewall.

·   The GSSSIETW hostel system is made up of three blocks that can house 400 students. The room includes an adjoining contemporary bath that meets international standards. Each student has their own closet, study table, chair, cot, and pin-up board.

·   The college campus also has a Meditation Hall, Seminar Hall, Auditorium all equipped with audio and visual systems.

·   Institute has 17 college buses providing transportation facility to the students coming from different corners of Mysore.
