The institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India.  The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and its campus is built over 30 acres of land.

About CIDS

Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences is one of the best colleges regarding admission for BDS in Karnataka. Located in the beautiful and serene tourist town of Coorg, the college offers top quality Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) courses alongside 10 post graduate Master of Dental Sciences (MDS) courses. Founded by the Kanjithanda Kushalappa foundation in 1999, the fundamental goal of the institution is to serve the nation via research and education as well as training the students not only to excel as Dental Surgeons but also as responsible people who will blend into today's competitive social fabric.
