The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is spread over a whopping 65 acres of land.

About BIET

The Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) was founded in 1979 by the Bapuji Educational Association. It was also important to build unusual engineering disciplines such as Textile Technology, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, and so on, so that research may be conducted in these areas to meet local demands. With the help of a large number of parents and a dedicated staff, the institute has grown to be one of the greatest in this region of Karnataka, with an area of roughly 65 acres containing numerous buildings and all the essential infrastructure, creating a favourable environment for world-class education. At the moment, the institute provides most of the key engineering disciplines at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Several research centres have also been built in the college to meet the requirements of the modern world. BIET aspires to be a nationally and internationally renowned centre of excellence in particular areas of engineering education and research, based on a culture of creativity and invention.
