Shri Kalidas Ayurvedic Medical College was established in the year 1992 and is being managed by Shri Kalidas Education Society. This college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. A group of members with great commitment and enthusiasm under the leadership of Shri B. B. Chimmankatti (Ex-Minister of Karnataka) started this difficult movement to provide for all sections of Children to get an education. It aims at imparting liberal Education to children, irrespective of caste, colour, and creed.

Kalidas Ayurvedic Medical College is one of the top Ayurvedic colleges in India. There is an exclusive research department for senior research students. Besides doing research on medication to heal several diseases, this department works towards documenting vital information on Ayurveda and editing & publish manuscripts in journals based on Ayurveda. The management of Kalidas Ayurvedic Medical College encourages students to take part in different cultural activities such as drama, music, quiz, and debate at both inter-collegiate and inter-department levels. There is a versatile canteen that fulfils the food requirements of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian students.
