Shanmugam, B.A.,LLB, a former MP and MLA, established Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust (Regd.) in the year 1992, with a noble intention of gifting professional education of international quality to the deserving students in this country, irrespective of the religion, caste and such intimidating factors, at very affordable cost.
The institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Government of India and Government of Karnataka. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The college is even recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK for part 1 & 2 MFDS Examinations. The institute is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers and NAAC by grade ‘B++’. The campus is sprawled over 5 acres of land. The college has an annual intake of 100 seats for BDS admissions.

Raja Rajeswari Dental College & Hospital (RRDCH) is one of the top dental colleges in Karnataka. The college was established in the year 1992 with just 40 admissions in BDS course and was housed in a rented building measuring 40,000 Sq. Feet. Since then, till now the college has marked its excellence and is today one of the most popular dental colleges in Karnataka. The college has progressed to a full- fledged Postgraduate Dental Institution offering BDS and MDS courses in all specialties of Dental Surgery. In addition, PhD in Orthodontics, Periodontology and certificate courses in Implantology are also offered in the college.
The institution strives to translate its expertise into academic programmes in order to address the demand for professional services in oral health care on a national and international scale.
