The Trust was founded in 1983 to provide education to the poor students who can’t afford to give such expensive fees, by starting various educational institutions to spread knowledge amongst the youth. This college is located near Chennai, Bangalore, which is 50km away from the Anna Airport (Meenambakam)

When Meenakshi Medical College was established it committed to excellence in research, education, community service and patient care. In the year 2004 the college is conferred Deemed to be University status to MAHER (Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research) and recognized by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
