The H. M. S Education Society (Regd.) created the HMS Institute of Technology in 1997-98 with the goal of delivering Technical Education. The State Government has granted permission, and it is associated with Visweswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, is authorised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and has NBA-accredited courses. The Institute is located in Tumkur, which is 60 kilometres from Bangalore and is home to a variety of educational institutions.
