GSSS Institute Of Engineering And Technology For Women (GSSIETW), Mysuru was established in the year 2003 and is managed by Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha (Regd.), Mysuru. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Karnataka. The college received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation and its courses have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and its campus is spread over 11 acres of land.

The GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women is located in Mysore, a city known for its palaces and as a centre of learning. GSSS(R) is a non-profit organization managed by the WHO'S WHO of Mysore that focuses on value addition in terms of delivering the greatest facilities and services for the cause of education.

The college aspires to be a renowned world-class Women's Educational Institution by providing professional education to students, developing technical possibilities via academic excellence and technological achievements, and instilling ethical principles in students. It is the first WOMENS Engineering college in Karnataka. It instills in female pupils’ attributes such as self-reliance and strong self-esteem, as well as financial independence.
