The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the Government of Rajasthan. The college received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation.  It is a Deemed to-be University and its campus is spread over 328 acres of land.

About BITS Pilani

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, or BITS Pilani, is an all-India higher education institute. The major aim of BITS is to "teach young men and women able and willing to create and put into action such ideas, methods, techniques and information". What began as a tiny school in the early 1900s grew into a network of institutions for higher education spanning from the Humanities to Engineering until 1964, when all of these colleges merged to form a unique Indian university of international significance. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, or BITS, Pilani, was the name given to this university.

Over the years, BITS has delivered the best quality technical education to students admitted on merit from all over India. Its graduates can be found all over the world in engineering, science, and business. BITS represents the maturation of Indian technological competence and "can-do" entrepreneurial attitude, particularly in the private sector. BITS is located on the Vidya Vihar campus in Rajasthan, near the town of Pilani.

Scholarships

Scholarships subject to the central and state government as well as college rules. BITS Pilani provides two types of scholarships: merit awards and fee discounts. These scholarships are available for both first-year and advanced-degree programmes. The following information is provided:

Merit Scholarships

Board toppers: Applicants who finished first in Class 12 receive a merit scholarship for 50% of the first year tuition fee. To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have a minimum overall aggregate of 90% or higher in the qualifying exam.

Merit in BITSAT: Accepted students with a BITSAT score of 200 or more will be eligible for the following scholarships for the first year of the academic year 2021-22, based on their BITSAT score:
